Studies Of Travel Benefits Based On The Transportation Mode Choice

In recent years,with the acceleration of modernization in our country and the rapid development of the city,more and more people enjoyed the convenience of a variety of traffic resources.The choice of travel mode for the travelers is not only to reach the destination,but also consider various comprehensive conditions such as comfort,convenience,rapidity,costs and other influencing factors,to consider how to choose the way to travel in order to achieve the most benefits of personal mobility.But with a series of traffic problems,especially the rapid growth of car ownership,the traffic congestion is caused in the urban.To ease traffic congestion and other issues,our government vigorously introduce all kinds of policies in recent years,cities are eager to improve the low utilization of resource and traffic congestion through building the subway,light rail and inputting bus rapid transit to make the choice of travel mode for the travelers more free.Different means of transportation provide different levels of travel for travelers,which affects the efficiency of the individual in a trip directly.Therefore,under the condition of limited resources,how to choose the scientific and reasonable way to travel for the traveler to obtain the maximum benefit for himself needs to conduct quantitative study on the characteristics and transportation of various factors.Currently the benefit of the travelers’ point theoretical research at home and abroad is very little,this article draws on domestic and foreign literature about traffic system economic benefits,social benefits and travel cost theory to define the concept of travel benefit of traveler individual.At the same time,the most common six kinds of way of the transportation(pedestrian,bicycle,car,bus,subway,taxi)combined with the traveler’s own characteristics are analyzed,and the travel mode choice of many factors which influence travelers tare summarized through consulting a lot of scholars at home and abroad.The travelers in Dalian accept the questionnaire survey about transportation stated preference(SP).We selected out time,cost and comfort these three factors people think the most important to construct benefit model of travelers.From the perspective of travelers gaining the benefit to quantify these factors.Using SPSS statistical analysis software to explain all variance and factor loading matrix of personal property index,and calculate the weight coefficient by use of Excel to make the benefit maximization model.According to the benefit model to calculate under different modes of travel to validate the model for travelers gaining maximum benefit way to travel,and providing the reasonable and economic basis for people’s travel mode choice.
