| The economy worldwide has become globalization already.Opportunities are everywhere accompanying with challenges all the time,the challenges we faced are much stronger than before.Process optimization becomes more and more important to improve marketing competitive.Thesis aims to study how to optimize manufacturing process with lean tools in Light Emitting Diode(LED)lighting industry and providing best practice for process optimization.Thesis start the opportunities study from Value Stream Mapping(VSM),identify the key opportunities as low automation level,too much walking and transportation,low line balance,low first pass yield and no design for manufacturing.Root cause study shows that bad automation design flexibility,both layout design and bottle neck process design is not lean enough,few design for manufacturing study while New Product Introduction(NPI)process.Thesis implement linear process design to improve automation flexibility,optimize bottle neck process by Industrial Engineering(IE)tools,improve first pass yield by fish bone study,implement design for manufacturing to optimize manufacturing process,finally T company improve automation flexibility and implement one piece flow in manual operation.It is proved lean production could significantly optimize manufacturing process and make the company more and more competitive in the world. |
