| In contemporary society,material progress changes rapidly,but our spiritual world moves forward slowly.In the field of architecture,functionalism is still popular,formalism and expressionism are also in the ascendant,but efforts to explore the spirit of architecture are rather limited.Although many efforts have been made by predecessors in space research,the degree of "poetic" is far from enough.Therefore,we hope that this dissertation could inject new inspiration into the practice of poetic space design."Poetry”,a concept that originates from literature,is currently given new meanings in situations of interdisciplinary and cross-cultures.It is exactly identical to the essence of philosophy and art.In architecture,people normally build "space consciousness" through perception of architecture.If there was no perception,consciousness can not be evolved.Similarly,mentality can not be existed if there was no consciousness.The theory of "architectural phenomenology" is an important field in studies of contemporary architecture theory and design approaches.Architectural phenomenology digs the origin and significance of architectures employing phenomenology and cognitions.It puts forward that the essence of architecture is providing people with living in poetry.In fact,what architecture brings to human beings should be the reality and an integrated perceptual-experience.“Poetic space” is an integration of material manifestation and psychological expression that are closely related to the essence of space.It contains not only a profound understanding of the physical and spiritual relations between human beings and the environment,but also includes speculations of architecture,people’s perception,the space itself,and the internal physical and spiritual relations between them.This dissertation,herein,starts with the concept of architecture phenomenology and discusses place spirit,perceptual experience and strategies for creating poetic space.Attempts are made to apply viewpoints from the architectural phenomenology into real living situations and specific things.What is more,attentions are paid to set up the place spirit in building architectures and perceptual experience as well.This paper explores strategies for creating “poetic space” via studying space,which is also the nature of architecture,from the perspective of consciousness on the basis of phenomenology and space poetics.With the purpose of establishing “poetic space” in architecture,an achievable methodology,from speculation to guidance,has been developed through building up the “place spirit”,experience of "perceptual space" and the imagination of "spiritual realm".In order to verify the rationality and feasibility of the design strategies discussed in this article,three classical architectural cases have been analyzed at the end of it,with disclosing a pproaches that used for creating poetic spaces.This paper provides support to spiritual development for architectural design through the studying of “poetical space” and the exploration of design methods.By doing so,it nourishes people’s mind and facili tates to generate a stronger spiritual power for hearts of human beings. |
