Less person make inquiries on suchissues as what is the space, how space can be felt, how to construct space and reflect its innerconsciousness, and how space can be expressed. Therefore, architecture has nowadaysgradually gone on the path of losing consciousness and memory. And it seems to be a kind ofluxury to enter the regime of poem and have a poetic habitation. Especially since the enteringinto the post-modern era of visualization, the builders blindly praise highly of symbol ofimages, and crazy about the visualized Symbolic collage. This has led to the increasinglyserious problems such as the lack of emotion in design and the shortage of poetic feeling indesign.The edging space of Residential area is an important part of the public area in acommunity, which is responsible for differentiating different spaces, creating space images,expressing the Space meaning and creating the Workplace atmosphere.The philosophical basis of the present paper is architecture phenomenology. The creatingand shaping of the edging spaces in Residential area will be studied and analyzed from theperspective of generalized architecture phenomenology. To carefully study the space is torespect the contemporary life, and it will help us to explore more space patterns suitable tohistorical background, achieving the goal of "Living in Contentment".
