The mechanical characteristics of the N type drive shaft used in the J type frame metering pumps were analyzed by finite element method,and the structure parameters of N-type drive shaft were optimized by using DesignXplore module in ANSYS Workbench.The work in this thesis provides an important basis for the design of N-type shaft,and has important significance in improving the overall performance of metering pumps and metering accuracy.Firstly,the structures features,flow control mode and working principles of the metering pumps were introduced.The main components of J-type frame metering pump were designed,and the size of the N-type shaft was determined.The load conditions for the key components of the metering pumps were analyzed,the dangerous working condition of N-type shaft during operation was determined,then the force applied on the N-type shaft was calculated.The 3D modal of the N-type shaft was build by Solidworks software,and the statics responses were analyzed by using finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench,including the equivalent stress and total deformation in dangerous working conditions.The static strength and stiffness of N-type shaft were checked,and the extra margin of stress existed.The dynamic performance of N-type shaft during working was investigated.The model analysis of N-type shaft was conducted by finite element software ANSYS Workbench,and the first four order nature frequencies and modes was obtained.The comparison between the nature frequencies and the working frequencies validated that the resonance could not occur for N-type shaft.The transient dynamic behavior of N-type shaft was analyzed,and the stress distribution and deformations for five different angles in a half cycle were obtained.In this thesis,the structure parameters of N-type shaft were optimized by DesignXplore model in ANSYS Workbench,Based on the quality of N-type shaft,the maximum equivalent stress(Equivalent Stress Maximum)and the total deformation maximum(Total Deformation Maximum)as the optimization goal,and select the diameter of the fine axis Dl,diameter D2 and the fine axis angle beta as optimization parameters,first qualitative analysis of the optimization parameters with the objective function and the variation of the law,and on this basis,determine the three group optimization results were analyzed and discussed.The optimal scheme was determined which improved the overall performance of N-type shaft.
