| With the rapid development of urbanization in China,green wall with the characteristics of less land use,higher vegetated surfaces and faster effects,has received growing amount of attention.Due to the lack of scientific quality management system on green wall projects in H Company,the green wall projects has a low qualification rate and consequently more reworking,which cause higher cost.Thus,it is imperative to explore a practicable method for quality management in the green wall projects in H Company.This paper analyzed the situation and problems of the quality control on green wall projects in H Company.The PDCA cycle management(Plan,Do,Check and Action),as a working procedure of total quality management,was introduced to quality control of the green wall projects in H Company,and the feasibility of their combination was verified.Based on quality management issues of the green wall projects in H Company,including lack of guidelines for construction,insufficient prevention of quality problem and inadequate quality control after the construction when dealing with multiple projects,the PDCA cycle model was established and employed in the preparation,construction and maintenance periods,respectively.The paper showed that in the preparation period,the organizational structure was changed to the improved matrix type,and the detailed design of project,examination of drawings were well controlled to prepare the construct plan,which provided the guidance for the following construction.In the construction period,the paper emphasized the plans for the factors of production(engineers,machine,materials,disclosures of construction and environment)and strengthened site management,which provided prevention of quality problem during work.This paper made plans for maintenance,implemented the specified maintenance work and took the necessary re-visiting in the maintenance period.Moreover,the statistical methods of quality management were used to further solve the issues in the green wall projects in H Company,and the corresponding strategies were provided.By evaluation of the improved quality management,the results showed that the qualified rate of projects increased by 23.5% and that the cost of maintenance materials per square meter decreased by 25.7%.Our results indicate that such management with continuous improvement and promotion can effectively enhance the quality of green wall projects in H Company and its market competitiveness. |
