The Study On Value Evaluation And Conservation And Reuse Of Industrial Heritage In Quanzhou Ancient City

There are two main topics about industrial heritage research.The first one is whether industrial heritage need to be conserved,and the second one is how to conserve industrial heritage.This thesis would both take theoretic and practical research on the two issues.In the theoretical part,firstly,this thesis defined the conception of industrial heritage,and then made a description about the history of industrial heritage conservation and reuse.Based on a discussion about the value of industrial heritage,it suggested that Identifying and understanding the value is the premise of industrial heritage conservation.Also,value recognition and understanding could contribute to industrial heritage conservation and reuse.Secondly,the conservation system of China,which contains the law and regulation,conservation planning and heritage management,had be discussed.Through the discussion,the thesis found that the system has several problems that need to be solved.For example,it give no clear definition to industrial heritage,also,it always delay the conservation work.The most important is there is an absence of related law and regulations.These problems made it difficult to understand,to conserve as well as to reuse industrial heritage.Thirdly,this thesis noted that planning is an effective tool for heritage conservation.Based on the theoretical research and On-the-spot investigation,in the practical research part,this thesis selected industrial heritage in Quanzhou Ancient City as the research object.First,with reference to the evolution process of Chinese modern industry,it described the history of modern industrial development in Quanzhou.Then,it generalized the industrial development process in the ancient city and described the basic situation such as composition,distribution,years,etc.After that,it built an evaluation system and conducted both qualitative analysis and quantitative evaluation.Based on the result,classification of industrial heritage is proposed.Finally,form a planning view,this thesis proposed some advice for conservation and reuse of industrial heritage in Quanzhou Ancient City.
