The Analysis And Evaluation Of The Elderly Community Contact Space Based On The Space Syntax

Population aging is one of the major social problems that human face in the 21st century.Our country has big elderly population,which situation determinesthe complexity and difficulty of design problems for the elderly living environment.The current economic level and improved quality of life so that older people have more time to devote to a wealth of activities,more to go outdoors.Elderly community space problem is becoming an important issue concerns the design work.The quality of elderly community outdoor space not only affects the elderly living here,but also deeply affecting the merits of the elderly.The author hopes that an objective analysis of fabric characteristics of elderly community outdoor space through space syntax theory and methods,and comes to theanalysis and evaluation.The arcticle developed under these preconditon:Chapter one:A description of the background on aging,the importance of making space for a healthy spiritual life of the elderly,and the concepts of elderly community-related and contact space.Chapter two:It comes the introduction of Space Syntax Theory.Describing the basic theory and method of Space Syntax and clarifing the core associated with the study of space between syntactic theory.At last,study the application examples of space syntax.Chapter three:Clarify the type of outdoor activity type for elder and older communities,further emphasizes the importance of outdoor contact space designin elderly community.Finally demonstrated the feasibility of space syntax in the elderly community space communication applications.Chapter four:Through the use of space syntax axis and visual method to analysis two different types of elderly community space in Changsha,then,it comes the analysis and evaluation of space syntax supplement.In the end,through quantitative data analysis to contrast the axis road networks and contact space of the two cases.Chapter five:According to the intrinsic properties of space syntax leads to be the merits of the elderly community outdoor space communication evaluation criteria-Spatial accessibility,space identified,space communication,space optional and space Security.Re-evaluation of the above cases were compared,the corresponding quantitative results obtained are summarized conclusion,while these conclusions is also more convincing.In the end,it comes to the design principles and design strategies for the elderly outdoor activities in the contact space of the elderly community.In summary,Papers are always trying to establish contacts elderly community space evaluation criteria,I hope that through quantitative data analysisand clear charts to improve elderly community outdoor space design.But also pave the way for the future to solve the fundamental problem of an aging society.
