Study On Integrated Design Of Affordable Housing

There have been two factors restricting the development of affordable housing construction—energy-extensive consumption of building and a relatively low standard of design.However,the number of affordable housing in China is expected to soar in the coming decades.Thus identifying effective solutions to the above-mentioned problems becomes increasingly crucial.Analyzing the problems rationally,it turns out to be the unreasonable process set with traditional methods as well as the lack of awareness of th e features inherent in affordable housing designing that bring about those troubles.The linear workflow of traditional designing method leads to the separation of professionals,which fails in providing cross-disciplinary communication and coordination of design strategies.Putting emphasis on the intrinsic features of affordable housing and at the same time figuring out a better design method will contribute to solve the current puzzles.Integrated designing method,which lays stress on cooperation among various professionals during the whole life cycle of architecture,is of great significance to cope with the troubling difficulties.As a sort of independent housing system,affordable housing has its own characteristics,of which the thesis gives an exhaustive description.And then differences between affordable housing and commodity housing are illustrated.Next,the existing problems of affordable housing are pointed out and several design principles are put forward.A detailed description of study obj ect will help achieve deep sense of issues.Furthermore,theories related to integrated designing method about its influencing factors,general principles,design process and so forth are presented,followed by an introduction of the technological assistan ce about integrated design.On the basis of the above study,this paper probes into the feasibility and superiority of applying integrated designing method into affordable housing design.After that,specified method of applying and design strategies are proposed.And ultimately,design method ought to be implemented in concr ete design process that is given a detailed introduction later.In terms of the process,it can be divided into six stages—earlier stage of architecture design,conceptual architecture design,preliminary architecture design,construction documents design,project construction and later operation management.Participants,designing goal and detailed designing strategies of each stage are specified accordingly.In addition,design elements applicable in affordable housing are inserted into the introduction o f design process.With integrated design method and reasonable design process,affordable housing can achieve the purpose of high-performance and multiple objectives.
