After the reform and opening-up policy to push the reform of housing system in our country,urban housing construction has achieved enormous development,greatly improved the people’s living conditions.At the same time,urban housing affordable construction is relatively backward,relevant government supporting policies and measures are also imperfect.In the practice of the current affordable housing design,The government ignores the site around the natural elements,cultural elements and folk customs,only the pursuit of speed number and ignoreing the quality and characteristics of conditions.For the research of each region related affordable housing is urgent,the development of national economy and the vast majority of the people’s livelihood has important significance.Two-thirds of China’s land area is mountainous hilly region,there is huge prospects for development.Region in the south of China,the hilly use is a kind of local characteristics,not only has the rich experience,and hilly region in the south building group characteristics highly characteristic in the study is in the form of the valuable wealth that can draw lessons from,such as the diao jiao building of xiangxi.Hilly resources for urban construction has a broad and long-term benefits,hilly architecture in addition to a pleasant natural environment,also has the unique charm of space.China is currently in the hilly area south of affordable housing design,how to do and integration of natural environmental features and cultural characteristics of the region,which had been lacking.From basic research to proceed,the author describes the meaning of affordable housing.affordable housing has features different from the ordinary commercial housing,summed up the development process of major developed countries and regions in the construction of affordable housing and affordable housing in our country.Analysis of the natural environment of the South Hills area,geographical and cultural factors on affordable housing,after field research include Southern Hills Situation issue of affordable housing design.From planning,architectural design at different levels of the Southern Hills affordable housing system has been systematically studied.This paper focuses on aspects of policies and regulations in the Southern Hills area of affordable housing,design strategy,ripe promote appropriate technology for analysis and affordable housing combined with the specific designpractices from the project are summarized,design,planning,architectural design,terms of appropriate technology applications,more in-depth on the Southern Hills affordable housing design carried out research.the construction of affordable housing in Southern hilly area,with local characteristics of housing policy and design guideline of the multi-level housing security system for southern hilly areas to provide a new opportunity.The author hope through the above description,summary and analysis,can provide designers,developers and government decision makers with valuable references,to better meet the southern hills area of affordable housing needs of the user.
