A Study On Design Method Of Cultural Identity Expression In Contemporary Architecture

The same contemporary architecture full of national and cultural meaning,in different cultural backgrounds for the viewer to feel different.For the people of our own nation,in addition to feeling the aesthetic experience brought by the architectural form,we may also feel the emotional experience that the positive performance of this culture brings about by the positive performance of the building,the sense of belonging and so on beyond the expression of the architectural ontology,while the appreciators in other cultural backgrounds will not feel these when observing the same building.This is the difference between cultural identities.The research of this paper focuses on the emotional significance of architecture with cultural meaning to the audience in the corresponding cultural context.Therefore,this paper introduces the concepts of "cultural identity" and "identity expression ".The definition of cultural identity is : " it is a positive recognition of the most meaningful things of the nation formed by people living together in a national community for a long time." [1] It contains three meanings :(1)the recognition of one's own cultural identity;(2)the appreciation and affection of one's own cultural content;and(3)the emotion of one's own cultural group.The expression of "cultural identity" in social psychology refers to "enhancing the identity of cultural groups through the expression of symbolic cultural symbols that can unite members of cultural groups" A social act.Under the background of contemporary globalization,the original culture at every regional level is faced with the threat of homogeneity of people's living habits and ideas in the world.In this case,it is very important to explore how to maintain the vitality of the original culture,to reshape its position in people's life,thought and emotion,and to strengthen the identity of the members of the cultural group to their own culture.The content studied in this paper is the design method to enhance the cultural identity of members of corresponding cultural groups through architectural expression at the level of architectural design.This article has the cultural meaning and can enhance the architectural view under the corresponding cultural background As the object of study,the architecture of cultural identity of the appreciator introduces the concept of cultural identity in social identity theory,and systematically analyzes the meaning,content and influencing factors of culturalidentity.It also explains the relationship between cultural identity expression and architectural design,the design objectives,design principles and ways of expression of cultural identity in architecture.Based on the two decisive factors of cultural identity,this paper analyzes the design method of cultural identity expression based on architecture.
