Chemistry education and curriculum setting in the late Qing Dynasty is an important part of the history of modern chemistry education in China. At present, relevant research has achieved certain results, but there are also some deficiencies. This paper makes use of the existing documents and works to sort out the basic facts of the emergence, development and evolution of chemistry education and curriculum in the late Qing Dynasty. It originated from the new school established during the Westernization Movement and developed into the New Deal reform from the Sino-Japanese War of 1894 to the eve of the 1911 Revolution.During this period, the Qing government successively promulgated "Renyin Educational System" and "Guimao Educational System",which provided management policy basis for universities, middle schools and primary schools in our country to offer chemistry, physics and other courses.Through the analysis and discussion of six chapters, this paper draws the preliminary conclusion that in the 70 years of the late Qing Dynasty, with the initial establishment and development of the Westernization New School,China's modern chemistry education and curriculum have gradually become a new and independent discipline from scratch and from small to large. To a certain extent, this change not only promoted the initial formation and development of modern chemistry education in our country, but also played an important role in promoting the cultivation of modern chemistry talents and the dissemination of knowledge in our country.
