Study On The Flexible Use Of Broken Thread Embroidery Of The Miao In Shidong Of Taijiang

Taijiang county is located in the middle of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture,Guizhou Province,with the Miao population accounting for 98%,which is historically known as the “hinterland of Miao.Shidong Town”,Taijiang county is known as the “hometown of embroidery”.There are more than20 kinds of embroidery,such as flat embroidery,broken thread embroidery,lock embroidery,Tiaohua embroidery and Dazi embroidery.Broken thread embroidery is the most representative kind of embroidery,which is actually the best in Miao embroidery.Broken thread embroidery is an important part of the intangible cultural heritage Miao embroidery,which has a certain research significance.The study is based on the existing literature materials,through the field investigation of Miao broken thread embroidery in Shidong Town,Taijiang County,Southeastern Guizhou Province,discusses the cultural development and artistic characteristics of Miao broken thread embroidery,summarizes the flexible concept of Miao broken thread embroidery,provides theoretical support for modern innovative design,and promotes the practice of Miao broken threadembroidery innovative design.The study takes Shidong Miao's broken thread embroidery in Taijiang as the research object,focusing on two aspects: the artistic characteristics and the theory of flexible use.First of all,it makes a comprehensive analysis of the Miao broken thread embroidery,makes a basic exposition of its historical origin and cultural development,and makes a detailed record and elaboration of the production techniques,theme patterns and artistic characteristics,so as to provide theoretical support for the inheritance and development of broken thread embroidery.On this basis,the paper discusses the theory of flexible use of broken thread embroidery,including the premise,purpose,principle,method and way of flexible use,so as to provide feasible development ideas for better protection and inheritance of broken thread embroidery.Finally,taking the advanced customization of clothing as the design example of broken thread embroidery,this paper analyzes and expounds the feasibility of flexible use,and makes a detailed process of flexible use.This paper explores the Miao broken thread embroidery,a traditional handicraft and advanced customized innovative design practice of clothing,to provide more feasibility for the future application of Shidong Miao brokenthread embroidery element design in the design field at home and abroad.
