In recent years,while China's economic growth has slowed down,the growth of steel and iron ore demand has slowed down as well.Driven by the national supply side reform and the policy of de capacity in steel industry,China's steel industry market is still on the rise,the upstream iron industry market is driven to be good.In order to cope with the complex internal and external environment changes,the iron ore enterprises should following the new trend of development to make the development strategy to meet the new requirements of development and to ensure survival and high-quality development.M mining company,the research object of this paper,is a modern medium-sized mining-mineral iron ore enterprise,its main business mainly includes mining,mineral processing,pelletizing and ore transportation.It is one of the key private iron ore enterprises in Liaoning Province,which has certain representativeness in the industry,and the research has certain guiding significance for the development strategy of similar enterprises in this industry.The research content includes: firstly,it introduces the background,significance,content,ideas and methods of M mining company's development strategy research,as well as the current situation of domestic and foreign research on enterprise development strategy and mining development strategy;Secondly,this paper summarizes the relevant theoretical basis of enterprise strategic management applied in the development strategy research of M mining company.,as well as the methods and tools needed for strategic analysis.Thirdly,the external development environment of M mining company is analyzed.The external macro environment faced by the company is analyzed by using PEST analysis method,the external competitive environment of iron industry is analyzed by using Porter's five forces model,AHP analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is used to evaluate the weight of the key factors of the main internal and external environmentFinally,the development strategy of M mining company is formulated,the strategic objectives and key points are clarified,and the strategic guarantee measures are put forward to ensure the implementation of the company's development strategy,so as to provide better guarantee for achieving the mission of "focusing on the development and production of high-quality mineral resources products and meeting the needs of a better life",and the goal of "one hundred years of Hongyue".Based on the research and analysis,the conclusion is put forward in this paper,M mining company should choose the growth type development strategy and clear the strategic focus of "expanding the scale and variety of existing mineral products,conducting exploration and development in peripheral iron ore areas,expanding upstream and downstream industrial chains,strengthening the utilization of new resources in related industries,the development of new products,and the construction of new capabilities to reduce costs and increase efficiency",take measures on strengthen marketing capabilities,human resource management,technological innovation capabilities,corporate culture and other aspects to ensurethe smooth implementation of the growth type development strategy.
