Gearbox assembly line planning and design is an important part of gearbox production.Its design quality not only directly affects the performance of the assembly line itself,but also affects the efficiency and final product quality of the entire gearbox manufacturing system.In order to meet the needs of rapid switching of various types of gearbox products at this stage,increase productivity,reduce labor intensity,and reduce production costs,reasonable assembly line planning and design has become a prerequisite for modular and flexible assembly manufacturing systems.This paper takes the 1040 series gearbox assembly line as the research object.Based on the product's structural characteristics and assembly requirements,the Systematic Layout Planning theory(SLP)is used to divide the assembly unit according to the function of the assembly object.Based on the logistics intensity relationship and considering the constraints of practical factors,the overall layout planning of the assembly unit was carried out.Using a modular design method,according to the process characteristics of each assembly unit,the assembly sequence and line layout of each unit were determined,the factors that caused the imbalance of the assembly line were analyzed,and reasonable solutions were proposed to design each assembly unit layout program.Use the Ranked Positional Weight theory(RPW)to optimize the balance design of the final assembly module.Based on the analysis and summary of the types and research methods of assembly line balancing problems,the hierarchical position weight method was selected to optimize the first type of assembly line balancing problems.Finally,Plant Simulation simulation software was used to simulate and optimize the balance performance of the final assembly unit.The performance before and after balancing was evaluated.
