Research On "Growable" Children's Custom Furniture Design

With the development of the society and the implementation of the two-child policy,people have a imperious demand for growable children's furniture.Through the deep research of children furniture design principle and future development design,the paper chooses children aged 3 to 12 as the research object,and discusses the design method of customized furniture for children,which can accompany the children for whole growth stage and adapt to the current living environment in which two children live,and can prolong the period of children furniture.Besides,it can also do a little bit to help resource-conserving society.The growable design methods of children's custom furniture discussed in this paper are the growth of function and structure.As the main design method of growable furniture design for children,the growth of function aims to maintain children's privacy,cultivate children's independence and the purpose of having good habits through different combinations of the module and function substitution to meet the using requirements of children.In this paper,the principles and methods of growable design and the results of the actual user survey and analysis are combined to further explore the design practice and theory,committed to designing growable customized furniture for children which not only meets the needs of the development of the age but also conforms to the rule of growth of children.
