In recent years, the air pollution has been concerned by the local government, due to that there existed a high level pollutant emission from the brick and tile industry in Xinmi City,so it is necessary to understand the impact of such a pollutant emissions on the environment and resident health. This article takes the brick and tile industry in Xinmi City as the research object, and establishes an emission inventory of pollution sources from the brick and tile industry in Xinmi City based on the data of the second national survey of pollution sources in 2018,where the evaluation of air quality of Xinmi City in 2018 is based on the monitoring data of the pollution source and use the CALPUFF model to predict the environmental impact of SO2,NOX and PM2.5 emitted by the brick and tile industry. And the simulation results was also verified by monitoring data.wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy was used to analyze elemental components in PM2.5,and enrichment factors and geoaccumulation indexes was used to analyze the element's enrichment degree and pollution level; The ecological risk index method and the US Environmental Protection Agency's health risk assessment method were used to evaluate the potential ecological risks and residents'health risks of Cr,Cd,Cu,Zn,Ni,Pb,As and other elements. The main conclusions are as follows:?1?Based on the evaluation of the mass concentration of SO2,NOX and PM2.5in Xinmi City in 2018,the pollution of SO2 in Xinmi City is relatively light, the mass concentration of NOX in January and December, and PM2.5 pollution is most severest in the winter.?2?Through CALPUFF model simulation, the predicted concentrations of pollutants in different seasons and their spatial and temporal distribution in the study area are obtained; The comparison of the current monitoring values obtained from Xinmi City Real Estate Management Station with those of the concentration simulation values show that the contribution ratios of SO2,NOX and PM2.5 are 6.58%,5.38%and1.42%,respectively;The CALMET simulation value is similar to the ground observation data. The correlation coefficient between the fitted curve of the monitoring data and the simulation data is close to 70%,and the simulation effect is good.?3?The concentration of elements released into the environment obtained with multiplying the predicted concentration of PM2.5 by the proportion of elements in the brick and tile industry has shown that the concentration of Cl emitted into the environment is the highest among non-metallic elements, the concentration of Si is the highest among crustal elements.,and Pb has the highest concentration in trace metals.?4?Analysis of the enrichment factor and geoaccumulation index shows that Cd,Pb,and Sb are more likely to be enriched in the atmospheric environment,Cd and Pb are at a very strong pollution level,Sb is at a strong pollution level, and Zn and Cu are at a strong and light pollution level grade,respectively.?5?The analysis of potential ecological hazard index showed that the single factor potential ecological hazard index of Cd element was the largest, while that of Pb is the second. And the ecological risk levels of the two factors were extremely strong and slight, respectively. The single-factor ecological risks of several other metal elements are negligible. The multi-factor comprehensive ecological hazard index caused by the metal elements emitted by the brick and tile industry in the study area is1511.76,which is greater than 520,and the ecological risk level is extremely strong.?6?The USEPA's health risk assessment method is used to assess the harm of elements emitted by the brick and tile industry to the human body, the results show that the maximum carcinogenic risk of Cr to the population is at a slight level,Cd only has a slight carcinogenic risk to children, and it does not cause cancer to adults.Other metals are not at risk of carcinogenesis. The metal elements with non-carcinogenic risk released into the environment by the brick and tile industry to different populations is also negligible.
