As a creative artistic activity,traditional Chinese embroidery originates from people's life and aesthetic needs.Its unique artistic form reflects the collective wisdom of ancient ancestors and represents the development level of politics,economy and culture in historical society that imprints the process of the development of human civilization.However,as we move from agricultural civilization to industrial civilized society,the rapid development of science and technology has quickly changed people's way of life and communication,but traditional handicrafts have not been able to adapt to the new demands of the times,and traditional embroidery has gradually lost its position.The traditional embroidery has encountered a development crisis and has slowly become a symbol of traditional culture.The contemporary value of traditional crafts is reflected in its existence of the nature of the human being,the possibility of respecting the individuality of life development and the process of creation,and the carrier of spiritual comfort in the process of industrialization."Transmutation" comes from Jia Yi's "The Owl ": "The shape and the air move to each other and change continuously.It reflects the transformation of vitality and form,and the change of morphological changes.It is a natural evolution and replacement that conforms to the historical development path.The contemporary transmutation of traditional embroidery is an artistic renaissance that preserves the original culture andartistic value.The biggest highlight of this paper is to break through the traditional thinking from the perspective of public art,explore the new path of traditional embroidery in the contemporary transmutation,and thus show the publicity,aesthetics,interactive participation and cultural cultivation ability of embroidery art.The research idea of this paper is to re-create traditional embroidery with the development of the times and to integrate with the popular living environment on the basis of understanding and acknowledging traditional embroidery.This paper is divided into five chapters,which is based on the vertical and horizontal analysis of traditional Chinese embroidery as the research foundation,and explores the artistic and artistic characteristics of its artistic aesthetics.From the relationship between historical tracer craftsmanship and art and the opportunity of contemporary art development,this paper discusses the motivation and direction of the contemporary transformation of traditional embroidery,carries out artistic speculation,introduces the theory of public art discipline,and discusses the design transformation and design of contemporary embroidery from the perspective of public art.in principle.Then on the basis of this,this paper analyzes the contemporary embroidery public art design methods,and proposes adaptive design strategies and design types through the analysis and extraction of traditional embroidery quality,technology and color design elements.At the same time,it combines a large number of existing embroidery public art cases from the three latitudes of vision,touch and thought,and the new artistic expressions that can be expanded in the process of interaction with the environment,material cross-border and technology synergy.Finally,the traditional embroidery public art design of the Chinese Silk Museum is taken as practice,and the theory is put into practice,thus providing a reference design idea for the contemporary development of traditional embroidery.
