Since 2000,China has entered the stage of rapid urbanization development.Due to the inefficient use of resources,it has seriously exceeded the carrying capacity of resources and environment,causing a series of eco-environment problems.With the advancement of urbanization in Wuhan city circle,the contradiction between urbanization and eco-environment has become increasingly prominent.It is necessary to correctly understand the basic laws and achieve coordinated development of urbanization and eco-environment in Wuhan city circle.By reading relevant literatures,this paper takes Wuhan city circle as the research area and builds an evaluation index system based on the actual development of it.Based on the entropy weight method,the urbanization and eco-environment of Wuhan city circle in2008-2016 are evaluated.Coupling coordination degree model is used to quantitatively analyze the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of two systems coupling coordination,and the obstacles model is used to explore the main obstacle factors affecting the coordinated development of two systems.Through empirical research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)In 2008-2016,the urbanization index of each city in Wuhan city circle showed an upward trend,and the fluctuation range was small,while the ecological environment index fluctuated greatly.(2)In 2008-2016,the coupling coordination degree of urbanization and eco-environment in Wuhan city circle showed a volatility upward trend,which was higher than 0.7 and reached the intermediate level and above.From the perspective of space,the distribution of the coordination degree of urbanization and eco-environment in Wuhan city circle has gradually changed from a strip pattern to a ring pattern,and the spatial difference is obvious.According to the coupling coordination value and urbanization and eco-environment index,the coupling relationship between urbanization and eco-environment can be divided into “quality coordination,eco-environment lag”,“quality coordination,urbanization lag”,“good coordinated,eco-environment lag”,“intermediate coordination,eco-environment lag” four types.(3)From the results of obstacle factors analysis,the factors affecting the coupling and coordination of urbanization and eco-environment in Wuhan city circle are concentrated in three subsystems: economic,spatial and eco-environmental state.According to the differences in the change trend of obstacle degree between urbanization and eco-environment system,the obstacle degree trend in Wuhan city circle can be divided into two types.One is that the obstacle degree of urbanization decreases and that of ecological environment increases.The other is that the obstacle degree of urbanization increases and that of ecological environment decreases.(4)According to the analysis results,relevant suggestions have been put forward from the aspects of urbanization and eco-environment to promote the coordinated development of urbanization and eco-environment in Wuhan city circles.
