The metal extrusion press has made great technical progress in resent years.Among various types of extrusion technology,the indirect extrusion process has an enormous advantage than direct extrusion because of its higher speed,longer spindle and thinner extrusion residue.The indirect extrusion press can greatly improve the production efficiency and has a broad market prospect.It is researched how to design and realize the electrical control system based on the single-action indirect extrusion press developed by TZ in this paper.Firstly,the process and control requirements of the single action indirect extrusion press are analyzed,the electrical control system is designed,the parameter calculation and software simulation are carried out.After that,the paper elaborates on the control model analysis and parameters calculation of the three main control objects including extrusion speed,pressure and the feeding ingot manipulator,and designs the electric drive scheme,motion control scheme,PLC control system,electrical connection and software control scheme of each control object.Then the system is debugged,the rationality of the electrical control system is verified.The electrical control parameters are amended referring to the actual process parameters and production effect,and the complete and applicable to the requirement of the single-action indirect extrusion process parameters are obtained.The commissioning shows that the design of electrical control system is stable and reliable.The single-action indirect extrusion press makes a greater increse of production efficiency than the previous ones.The products are qualified,fulfill the demands of the user,and are well received by users.It also provides TZ the technical guarantee of market development.
