With the development of global economic integration and national economic construction as well as the expansion of opening up,China’s port industry is in the period of industrial expansion.The scale and specialization of port berths are further enhanced,and the coal port logistics terminal industry is facing the opportunity of continuous prosperity.The irregular shape of coal cargo brings great obstacles to the warehousing management of bulk cargo port logistics terminal.With the increasing number of cargo at the terminal,the operation of warehousing management of coal terminal has become very complex and diversified.Therefore,to maintain a high operational capacity,only by attaching importance to the level of storage operation management,formulating and implementing scientific coal storage management methods and improving the speed of coal circulation and site turnover can the coal logistics terminal improve the overall economic benefits of coal port terminals.In view of this,this paper takes the storage operation optimization of GK Coal Terminal Company as the research object,through the practical investigation of going deep into the storage operation site of GK Coal Terminal Company to analyze the storage operation problems based on the current situation of storage operation of it,such as unreasonable coal storage,inefficient operation mode,low automation of equipment,high rate of personnel flow,and so on.Firstly,this paper analyses the operation status and basic operation of GK Coal Terminal Company,and describes the size,structure,operation and production of the company.Secondly,summarizing the difficulties and existing problems in the warehousing operation of GK coal terminal company through the analysis of the warehousing operation and the on-site investigation and interview.Finally,optimizing the coal storage area effectively by using the ABC management method to classify and re-divide the coal storage area in the coal yard;Optimizing the company’s internal warehousing operation and reducing the operation cost by using the "pass-through" operation mode;Reducing labor costs and staff turnover by learning from the previous experience of equipment upgrading and transformation to optimize the automatic upgrading of storage equipment and improve the incentive plan.Optimization methods and measures should be adopted to analyze GK coal terminal company warehouse operation aiming at formulating optimization plan for GK Coal Terminal Company in terms of coal storage optimization,warehousing operation mode optimization,upgrading equipment automation level and warehouse personnel performance evaluation,etc.This can help GK Coal Terminal Company solve the problems of increasingstacking efficiency,improve site turnover,reduce operation cost and promote employee performance evaluation scheme mechanism.It also can strengthen the GK coal terminal company warehouse operation ability to keep sustainable development and promote the core competitiveness of the company.At the same time,this paper analyzes and optimizes the problems of coal stockpiling,warehousing system operation mode,equipment upgrading and transformation and incentive mechanism in the warehousing operation management of GK coal terminal company,and also provides suggestions for the operation optimization of coal port warehousing enterprises in the same industry.
