The Chinese Experiences Verification Of New Ecological Paradigm

With the continuous development of urbanization,industrialization and marketization,China has made great progress in economy and society.At the same time,human behavior has had a significant impact on the environment.The relationship between social development and environmental change has attracted widespread attention.In accordance with that above problem,Dunlap RE and Catton WR point out that traditional sociology has an anthropocentrism orientation,ignoring the influence of environmental factors on social facts and failing to explain the increasingly serious environmental problems.For this reason,they put forward a new paradigm to study social development and environment—New Ecological Paradigm,advocating that human should not be exempted from ecological laws and environmental impacts because of cultural and technological characteristics,and that environmental factors need to be introduced into the interpretation of social facts,social phenomena and human social behaviors.Based on the relevant statistical data of Shaanxi Province,this paper takes Shaanxi Province as a microcosm of Chinese experiences by using the methods of literature research and statistical analysis,aiming at verifying the Chinese experiences of New Ecological Paradigm,and providing reference materials and policy recommendations for the relevant functional departments in smog source analysis and smog prevention and control.Firstly,based on the summary of relevant research results,this paper studies the evolution and development of New Ecological Paradigm theory.Secondly,based on the Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population,Affluence and Technology Model(STIRPAT Model),this paper constructs a theoretical model and designs an empirical study on the social causes of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province.Thirdly,by using the relevant statistical data,this paper describes the current situation and the characteristics of influencing factors of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province.According to the actual situation of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province,taking the meteorological factors as control variables,introducing population,affluence,technology,urban greening construction,traffic and other variables for empirical analysis,this paper studies the social causes of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province.Finally,taking the smog pollution in Shaanxi Province as a case,this paper evaluates the explanatory power of New Ecological Paradigm theory from different aspects,and puts forward targeted policy recommendations and research reflection.The results are as follows: Firstly,this paper systematically analyzes the social causes of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province,it is found that the causes of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province include meteorological factors and socio-economic factors.The pollution source of smog weather is mainly from socio-economic factors,and meteorological factors are no longer the deep-seated causes of air smog pollution.Secondly,New Ecological Paradigm can verify Chinese experiences effectively.In this paper,it is reflected through New Ecological Paradigm to explain the smog pollution in Shaanxi Province.Thirdly,with the diversification of research perspectives,interdisciplinary characteristics,methodological competitiveness and other issues,New Ecological Paradigm has not yet formed a more standardized category of paradigm,which needs theoretical development and methodological innovation in the future,so that it can better carry out empirical research.Fourthly,according to the empirical results of smog pollution in Shaanxi Province,this paper puts forward policy recommendations to control air smog pollution from the aspects of transforming the mode of economic development,relying on technological innovation and upgrading,cultivating public awareness of environmental protection.
