Temporal-Spatial Characteristics And Factors Of The Smog Pollution In China

Severe smog events occurred frequently in recent years China and spread to most parts of China,it has brought a great deal of harm to the public’s health,hampered people’s normal travel and the development of national economics.Therefore,it is crucial adjective to identify the influence factors of smog and giving some targeted treatments on the basis of understanding the distribute of our country’s smog.For the cause of smog,there were many studies about meteorological factors and the chemical compositions of smog,however,in fact the main cause of smog are relate to economic reasons,including unreasonable industrial structure and excessive reliance on coal and other dirty energy.Based on the above,we analysis the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of smog pollution and then explore the relationship of the industrial structure,the efficiency of energy use,FDI with the smog on the base of the time lag effect of smog pollution and it’s influence factors.In this paper,we used the PM2.5 panel data of China’s 29 province between 2001 and 2012.First,we analyzed the the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of smog pollution in China,then we summarized the reason of smog in foreign countries and their smog treatments.On the basis of these analysis and the previous studies,we thought that the smog has a deep relationship with the economy development.Therefore,we studied the relationships by using the panel data we said before and established a Panel data model.The results are:(1)smog pollution has a significant positive relationship with the above-scale industrial added value but the effects between smog pollution and the GDP proportion of output of the third industry is not obvious.(2)Smog pollution has a significant positive relationship with million GDP energy consumption.(3)Smog pollution has a strong significant positive relationship with FDI.In addition,smog pollution has a strong time lag effect,the smog pollution last period has a positive effect to the result in this period,industrial structure,the efficiency of energy use,FDI have no lag effect,but the investment in treatment of environmental pollution has a lag effect.Finally,we gave some targeted policy recommendations.
