| Nowadays,Many building fires occur because of the short circuit of electric current.The data we get from the DKI Jakarta government is the capital city of Indonesia that in 2018 the number of fires in Jakarta was 692 incidents,and a short circuit of electric current caused 480 incidents,the data on the causes of fires due to short circuit of electric current is the highest cause of 80%.The total loss was more than 81,000,000 RMB,and the death toll was more than 6,300(injured and dead).It can be concluded that the event above is where an electric fire caused by a short circuit of electric current has a process where the cable in the installation will heat up first so that the security on the cable is no longer able to protect it,so it burns.The thing to note is that when the cable heats up,no safety device can detect the burning of the cable.At this time,there is two safety electricity use at our building electrical installations MCB and ELCB,but these devices cannot resolve the condition that caused the fire occurred.Our electric safety device uses a thermal camera sensor to read the temperature on a cable that has an electric current.This device can be installed on a box electrical panel to be able to connect continuously to the cable connected to the MCB.When the cable at the temperature has exceeded the predetermined limit,the device will give a warning in the form of a buzzer sound and display the text on the display "WARNING HIGH TEMPERATURE," then it will automatically use the electricity network device at the plant’s electrical installation.This research produces a new electrical network safety device,which can be applied to buildings and another object.This research produces a new electrical network safety device,which can be applied to buildings and to objects that have the potential to emit excessive heat that can cause fires.So that with the use of this device,it will be able to monitor,give a warning and be able to cut off the electricity grid automatically when the temperature of the object being observed exceeds the specified limits that have the potential to emit excessive heat that can cause fires. |
