Sharing Of Local Ecological Knowledge

Local ecological knowledge refers to the empirical integration accumulated by human society in the process of long-term interaction with the natural environment.It is a transformation system that recognizes and adapts to the natural environment acquired in the process of continuous trial and error.Local ecological knowledge,like scientific knowledge,is an important part of the treasure trove human knowledge.Local ecological knowledge not only has the value of criticizing the drawbacks of Western science and technology,but also has practical value.It plays an important role in ecological protection,resource management,traditional knowledge protection and inheritance,etc.This paper conducts a field survey on the local ecological knowledge of artificial forestation in Sanqiao Village,Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County,and then explains the connotation,types,limitations and paths of the sharing of local ecological knowledge.The sharing of local ecological knowledge refers to the expansion of the use of it.This includes not only expanding the use of it across habitats and cultures,but also the use of it within certain ethnic habitats and cultures.In order to promote the sharing of local ecological knowledge,firstly,we should protect the local ecological knowledge that is currently in a disadvantaged position,such as solid-state protection,live protection or integration into the public education system,which is the basis for local ecological knowledge sharing;secondly,it should be scientifically explained through the promotion and innovation of local ecological knowledge to promote its integration with modern science and technology;in addition,local ecological knowledge should be in line with modern management.Make local ecological knowledge and modern management complement each other,not against each other.At the same time,while advocating local ecological knowledge to expand the scope of use through sharing,it should also be noted that local ecological knowledge has strong regional attribution and cultural attribution;due to the construction background,local ecological knowledge is not perfect.It also has its own drawbacks;plus the bias of people's understanding together constitutes the limitations of its sharing.Therefore,when using local ecological knowledge,we should oppose blind copying and promote caution.Today,with the increasing importance of genetic resources and related traditional knowledge,I believe that in the process of local ecological knowledge sharing,an internationally recognized benefit-sharing system should be followed to ensure the access to local knowledge and related genetic resources and to share the benefits derived from the use of resources fairly and reasonably.
