Research In The Application Of Chinese Traditional Art Elements In Fashion And Visual Design

With the rise of China's economy,the Western world has become more interested in China,and the popularity of Chinese traditional art in the West has also increased.Chinese traditional art is a treasure of China and the world.Drawing on the nutrition of Chinese traditional art to provide inspiration for modem design has become a resonance between Chinese and Western designers.In the fashion industry,in May 2015,the Metropolitan Museum of Art held a world-famous special exhibition "China:Through the Looking Glass" to push this craze to the top.In this positive and dynamic dialogue with China taking its own culture and the West taking its own aesthetics,we see that the application and transformation of Western design in Chinese traditional art in fashion and vision design is far more fashionable than that of Chinese designers and far more accordant with modem aesthetic requirements.The fashion and vision works of Western designers who have applied and transformed Chinese traditional art in the past 100 years are the achievement of Western designers' bold innovations in fashion art and their active development of design thinking.In this research,the special exhibition of "China:Through the Looking Glass" is taken as the research background.Through the analysis and research on the fashion design works and display design in the special exhibition,the representative works and exhibition halls are selected as the analysis objects to study how they use the Chinese traditional art and how they activate it.Through comparative research,we can find out the different methods and the effects of using Chinese traditional art in different works and exhibitions.we can obtain some inspiration from these methods,and combine these methods with our own creations,so we can obtain better results in our future exploration and practice.
