| Chinese culture boasts a long history and distinguished ethnic features.The multinational culture accumulated and permeated in the five-thousand-year civilization glorifies Chinese traditional costume. As far as the Chinese fashion designers are concerned, the traditional Chinese costume has much content and practical value to be studied and analyzed.Over the past one hundred years, tremendous changes have taken place in China’s political, economic and cultural conditions and tremendous changes have taken place in Chinese costume. With the economical global integration,all the Chinese fashion designers should pay attention to the problem of how to make Chinese costume integrated into modem fashion and how to make Chinese traditional culture accepted by the world.Today,the global integration process faster and faster, our traditional clothing tends to be more westernized. In this unstoppable trend, in order to allow our traditional culture is not forced to disappear in the tide of globalization, in order that we can continue to develop the essence of civilization passed along, we need to promote the breadth of traditional culture, to give its significance to today costume design content, let the whole world’s attention to ethnic Chinese traditional culture.This paper argues that culture does not mean that the tradition will be limited to the specific field of view of certain elements, but to try to improve, and beyond, the development of these cultures.
