"Bone-inlaid Wood" is a traditional decorative process that inserts animal bones on the surface of wood.It combines arts and crafts with traditional furniture and architecture,and embodies the decorative art of inlaid,sculpture and painting.At present,there are many problems in the production process of traditional bone and wood inlaid.On the one hand,inlaid materials are mostly natural materials,the preparation process of bone fragments is complex,and the cost is high,so it is difficult to participate in market competition.On the other hand,with the passage of time,affected by climate temperature and humidity changes,inadequate protective measures and other factors,it is prone to gel opening,paint dropping,insert dropping and other phenomena.It will be time-consuming and labor-consuming to use pure manual technology for inlaid work.From the point of view of process production and application,aiming at the problems existing in traditional bone and wood inlaid,this paper focuses on the production and application of digital processing technology in traditional inlaid technology,and the digital processing technology of inlaying process is studied in depth,and the CAM/CNC technology and 3D printing is innovatively applied.The inlay parts are processed by FDM melt deposition 3D printing technology,and the grooves of inlay substrates are processed by numerical control carving technology.The modern processing technology is perfectly integrated into the production of furniture inlay,which improves the performance of bone-wood inlaying process and the degree of modernization and processing accuracy.Finally,in the design practice part,two kinds of digital inlaid decoration were designed and manufactured.In the process of inlaid processing of traditional decorative pattern "Shou" and modern decorative QQ expression "Smiling Face",Rhino software was used to model the pattern and the model was printed by FDM-type 3D printer.Then STL format model file was imported into Master cam to set the parameters of 2D groove and generate the tool processing path.Then the solid simulation processing was carried out.The NC code was output and driven by the code to process the socket groove of the lower milling machine.Finally,the 3D printed socket was embedded in the processed substrate groove to complete the final inlaid.
