The Study Of Xi Jinping's Ecological Civilization Thought

The concept of "building a beautiful China" was put forward at the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and ecological civilization was elevated into one part of "Five-point Strategy",which marks a new journey for China's developing ecological civilization.At the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,President Xi Jinping advocated further reforms to accelerate ecological progress,which marks a new era for China's socialist construction.The great change is achieved under the guidance of Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization is an important part of his thought on socialism and is the research subject of this thesis.The thesis consists of four parts.The part of introduction introduces the significance,researches at home and abroad,research methods,and definition of the main concepts concerning the research.Chapter One explores the essential conditions for Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization.The thesis holds that the thought has developed on the basis of various conditions and factors.Firstly,it has evolved from different theoretical sources.(1)It accords with the ecological ethics in traditional Chinese culture.(2)Marx's and Engels' theories on relationship between human and nature provide solid theoretical basis for the hought.(3)It inherits and develops the former Chinese communist leaders'philosophy on ecology.Secondly,Xi Jinping's thought on ecolosical civilization has developed in line with reality.Reflecting people's hope for a better life and keeping up with the world trends from industrial civilization to ecological civilization,the thought emerges and becomes mature in the practice of constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics.Chapter Two discusses the main contents of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization from four aspects:economic,political,cultural and social progress.Economically,inheriting and developing Marx's theory on productivity factors,Xi Jinping creatively regards ecological environment as productivity,highly generalizes the new relationship between economic development and ecological civilization,and raises a new concept of green development:"Green hills and clear water are priceless treasures".Politically,Xi Jinping emphasizes the Chinese Communist Party's leadership in constructing ecological civilization and stresses the people-centered practice of fulfilling the Chinese Communist Party's mass line in an all-round way in constructing ecological civilization.Culturally,Xi Jinping points out the significance of cultivating eco-cultural concept and environmental protection concept and he mentions the urgency of protecting cultural and ecological remains such as cultural relics and human ecological landscapes.Socially,Xi Jinping advocates the creating of community of shared life between mankind and nature,the creating of community of shared future for mankind globally.Xi Jinping proposes new requirements and standards for making and revising laws and regulations concerning ecological protection,which ensures that China's environment protection will be managed more according to law.provides strong lawful support for constructing ecological civilization and makes a shield for economic and social development.Chapter Three summarizes the theoretical significance and practical value of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization.Theoretically,the thought inherits and develops Marx's ecological thoughts,enriches and improves socialist theoretical system with Chinese characteristics,provides theoretical approaches rooted in reality.Practically,it not only provides a way of solving the ecological crisis in China,but also contributes Chinese wisdom to the solution to the world's ecoloaical problems.
