Style is one of the main factors affecting clothing perception,and symmetry is the most common form of expression.Therefore,in the perceived consumption of clothing,the symmetry of the style serves as a key role.At present,scholars have done numerous explorations on symmetry evaluation,but there are few researches on clothing style symmetry,and only the aesthetic perception evaluation of clothing style symmetry has been studied.The descriptive perception evaluation,preference perception evaluation and their differences have not been further explored.Therefore,by using behavioral and ERP testing techniques,the current study explored the behavioral and brain mechanism of different perceptual evaluation for clothing style symmetry.For this purpose,this study used two experiments to test.In the first experiment,three-dimensional clothing pictures,including silhouettes,structural lines and decorative components with different symmetry levels,were used as stimulus to be tested,and explored the differences between descriptive and evaluative judgment by means of behavioral research.On the basis of behavioral experiments,event-related potential(ERP)technique was used in experiment 2 to further explore the differences in brain mechanism between descriptive perception evaluation and evaluative perception evaluation of clothing style symmetry.The results show that:(l)there are some errors in the descriptive perception evaluation of different parts of clothing style.Among them,the structural line symmetry perception evaluation error rate is the largest,decorative parts symmetry perception evaluation error rate is the smallest.It reflects the difficulty of structural line symmetry evaluation,(2)and the main effect of clothing style symmetry on evaluative judgment is significant,and the more symmetrical clothing style is,the more beautiful it is,(3)and descriptive perceptual evaluation and evaluative perceptual evaluation have significant effects on response time,and descriptive perceptual evaluation is much easier than evaluative perceptual evaluation,(4)and in the early stage of perceptual evaluation,the effect of descriptive perceptual evaluation on response time is significant.The peak values of P1 wave induced by three different sensory evaluations were significantly different,and there is a difference in the automatic processing of early information,(5)and in the middle stage of sensory evaluation,the right hemisphere of temporal occipital region induced larger N250 components.The lateralization trend of brain processing appeared,(6)and in the late decision-making stage of sensory evaluation,the peak and latency of P300 wave induced by three different kinds of sensory evaluation were significantly different,and there was a significant difference in the peak and latency of P300 wave induced by three different kinds of sensory evaluation.The peak and latency of P300 wave appeared in the process of aesthetic perception evaluation.In this study,behavioral and ERP techniques were used to measure the behavioral and bra:in response of clothing style symmetry perception evaluation.This study probes into the differences in behavioral and brain mechanism between descriptive perception evaluation and evaluative perception evaluation of clothing style symmetry,which has certain theoretical and practical value.
