Analysis On Consciousness Of Rural Residents Participating In Environmental Protection

Currently,the problem of rural environment is increasingly attracting the attention of the society.The rural environmental protection has also entered into the decision making by the country.The rural residents have a natural sense of closeness and perceptibility for rural environmental protection,and sometimes their consciousness of protecting the environmental ahead of the government.In some rural areas,especially in the economic and social conditions are relatively developed,environmental protection is mostly initiated by local residents.These problems cause the attention of the local government and promote them to make decisions protecting the environment.The rural residents' awareness of participating in the environmental protection is further improving with the government carrying out the decisions.Therefore,the rural environmental protection can draw attention to the local government that should be attributed to the rural residents.But even so,the mission of rural environmental protection is still facing with many problems which mainly because of the difference of concept about environmental protection among the rural residents.The widening gap between different regions,especially in some areas where the economy is relatively backward,the awareness of participating in the environmental protection is unsubstantial and the consciousness of environmental protection is not enough.The residents pay no attention to the environmental protection measures,and know little about the environmental protection laws and regulations.They are in pursuit of making more money,improving their living standard.They think that is government's responsibility and obligation to protect the environment.Furthermore,the local government taking actions to protect environment is still inadequate which influences the comprehensive development of environmental protection in the countryside to some extent.This article mainly summarizes related dynamic research about the development of the rural environmental protection.It discusses the rural residents'awareness of participating in the environmental protection and its importance and necessity.According to the analysis of the rural residents' awareness of participating in the environmental protection in Jiangsu province,it reveals the problems faced by rural residents when they participate in environmental protection and the reason of causing it.At the same time,combining the features of rural environment comprehensive improvement with beautiful rural construction of Jiangsu province,we reference relevant successful experience at home and abroad and put forward some measures and suggestions that suitable for Jiangsu province to encourage rural residents to take part in environmental protection.Through improving rural residents' awareness of participating in environmental protection,we hope rural residents could protect the environment on their own.This paper is divided into six chapters:the first chapter is introduction which is mainly used to introduce the background,objectives,significance,related national and international research,research methods and technical route.The second chapter is theory were reviewed,which is mainly including the concept,basic content,the scope of public participation,public participation and factors that affect public participation;The third chapter is about the environmental protection in rural areas of Jiangsu Province,which mainly including the basic situation of environmental protection in Jiangsu Province,the problems when the rural residents taking part in it;The fourth chapter is the empirical research about the consciousness of rural residents participating in environmental protection in Jiangsu Province,mainly including the design and survey plan of the questionnaire,statistics and analysis of the survey results.The fifth chapter is about how to improve the awareness of rural residents' participation in environmental protection.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and research prospect.
