Culture is a business card of a nation in the process of globalization,and the unique regional culture is a mainstays of traditional culture.Normally,Integrating local characteristic culture into product packaging design is conducive to the promotion of brand image,and at the same time can make products give people a special sensation in a variety of commodities.To a certain extent,it can promote the development of local economy,at the same time,it can alsoprovide the possibility of successors for traditional culture,which is more cond-ucive to the inheritance and development of local cultural heritage.For example,“Meats Factory Union of Harbin”(MFUH)is a company with a history of hund-reds of years.its Russian sausage products with strong European flavor,has a broad market demand in Harbin,and it is popular in the majority of local resi-dents and tourists.However,there is a lag in packaging design,failing to keep up with the development trend of the tourism industry,so it cannot highlight the personality of the brand through packaging,which leads to lack of brand awareness of the “Meats Factory Union of Harbin” red sausage among tourists.Therefore,MFUH sausage as Harbin’s regional cultural characteristics and Harbin’s city business card,the design and research of MFUH sausage has very important practical significance.With the rapid development of China’s tourism industry,Harbin has become China’s top ten tourist cities,and its specialty food has many potential busi-ness opportunities.This article is devoted to the research from the MFUH red sausage packaging design as a starting point.Firstly,it interprets the unique re-gional cultural characteristics of Harbin,and makes traceable analysis and Research on the food,red sausage of Harbin under the influence Russia and Harbin’s special product.Secondly,based on the evolvement of the packaging design of MFUH sausage,this paper firstly analyzed the current sausage packaging,an-d then compared it with Qiulin Riddos and Spanish ham packaging,in order to find out the problems of MFUH sausage packaging.Finally,through case and c-omparative studies,this paper deeply expounds the concept of comprehensively improving the packaging design level of MFUH sausage,and designs packaging design that can reflect Harbin regional culture and enhance the brand image of MFUH.I hope that through this research of this article,unique regional culture of Harbin and provide some theoretical references for designers in the industry.In a word,as an important platform for external image display,"Harbin m-e at federation" sausage packaging not only plays a role in brand communication o f "Harbin meat federation" sausage,but also brings practical significance to r-egi onal cultural publicity in Harbin.It is hoped that the study in this paper can pro vide some valuable reference and help information for the future packaging desig n of "Harbin pork federation" sausage products.
