The Application Of Traditional Batik Techniques In Batik Painting

Traditional batik is a folk handicraft with a long history in China.With the rapid rise of modern industry,it has been gradually replaced by the dyeing textile industry under the modern industry.As a result,it is faced with the development dilemma of no one using it and the loss of skills and suffers from an unprecedented development crisis.In recent years,with the emphasis on the protection of traditional national culture,the culture of traditional batik and its irreplaceability have been discovered,thus the inheritance and development of traditional batik have gradually been explored.At the same time,western modern art spreading to China,and the communication between Chinese and western art make people’s thinking more open.Some artists begin to bring batik into their artistic creation,combining traditional batik craft with modern design and painting,and endowing traditional batik with modern concepts and forms,making the art of batik develop into a unique contemporary art form that combines modern beauty with traditional beauty.This article has explored the background and reasons of the combination of batik technology and modern painting art by expounding the technique of traditional batik and its development status in China.According to the author’s works practice and thinking of modern batik painting,this paper analyzes the application and transformation,inheritance and development of traditional batik in modern painting,in order to make better understood its value and significance in modern art.
