Study On The Painting Art Of Tang-style Furniture Collected By Shosoin,Japan

Tang Dynasty furniture can be described as one of the most dazzling pearls in the history of furniture in China.Among the various techniques included in Tang Dynasty furniture decoration,compared with carving and inlaying,the color painting decoration techniques of Tang Dynasty furniture have not yet attracted much attention.Some of them have not been passed down for some reason,resulting in a large amount of content to be discovered urgently,which has certain research space and value.During the Tang Dynasty,Japan was interested in learning Chinese culture and art.Therefore,a collection of Tang style furniture,which was made in 7-9 centuries and preserved in Shosoin,became the best choice to study the related art of Tang Dynasty in China.This paper attempts to examine the two main decorative arts and crafts of Tang Dynasty furniture painting,and through the restoration of techniques to explore its current application prospects and application value.First of all,through consulting and translating a large number of Japanese literature,this paper carefully summarizes the pigments used in the decorative techniques of “Hu Fendi”'s color painting in the Tang style furniture color painting art collected in Shosoin from the perspective of chemical composition,and focuses on the analysis and summary of various white pigments with different compositions;Secondly,the innovation and serious difficulties of this article are to restore the two main decoration techniques of the Tang Dynasty furniture painting art: “Hu Fendi”painting decoration technique and “Mi Tuo”oil painting furniture decoration technique.At present,the raw materials,blending ratios,technological processes,and other related materials of the two can not been verified.The author has finally achieved revivification of the two techniques through a large number of repeated experiments.Then,from the perspective of art theory,this paper analyzes and summarizes the color painting art of Tang style furniture which collected in Shosoin,Japan,and through the deconstruction of each decorative pattern,take a single decorative pattern as the minimum element,comprehensively summarized and classified all kinds of patterns that collected in it,and the beauty of the craft techniques and the artistic interest of the painted furniture in the Tang Dynasty are expounded from the perspectives of combination,color using rules,color filling techniques,etc.;Finally,the article explores the inspiration of contemporary furniture decoration,the expansion of contemporary craftsmanship,and the impact on contemporary cultural and creative products through the Tang Dynasty furniture paintings.Three aspects are expounded on its application value in modern and contemporary.The painting art of Tang style furniture collected in Shosoin is enough to admire the world from the perspective of technology and aesthetics,but the art of painting decoration of Tang style furniture is only a small branch of the furniture decoration technique of Tang Dynasty.It is believed that with further exploration and research,Tang Dynasty furniture,a Chinese art treasure,will eventually shine the world again.
