In recent years,with the development of our country's economy and society,the mileage of road traffic and the quantity of motor vehicle have been increasing continuously,at the same time,the number of road traffic accidents has also been rising.Tunnel as a special traffic section,especially in its entrance and exit location,the incidence of traffic accidents and casualties are very serious.Under the background of vehicle safety design and road planning,researchers turn the research direction of tunnel entrance and exit traffic safety to driverundefineds operation.At present,the use of driving operation data in traffic safety is very common.The causes of traffic accidents can be obtained by statistical analysis of traffic accident road environment,driverundefineds behavior,vehicle condition and so on.So the road design,motor vehicle safety design and driver operation are standardized to reduce traffic accidents,reduce casualties and property losses.By consulting and summarizing the references,this paper summarizes the influencing factors and the present situation of driving safety at the entrance and exit of the tunnel.On this basis,using the vehicle OBD(On-Board Diagnostics)system,the operation information of 500 motor vehicle drivers in Chongqing urban area for a long time and large sample is collected,and the data processing algorithm and GIS(Geographic Information System)technology selects the driving operation data of these drivers at the entrance and exit of the tunnel and extracts several items of data which have a strong correlation with driving safety as the quantitative index of driverundefineds operation data.Based on these quantitative indexes,the operation information of motor vehicle drivers with different safety risks is classified by using clustering analysis algorithm,mainly K-means clustering analysis and hierarchical clustering analysis.Finally,the results of clustering analysis are verified by the average number of violations of each driver per year,and the driver safety characteristics of the tunnel entrance and exit section are obtained by combining the driver safety operation in real traffic accidents.The results show that there are significant differences in driving operation information between different types of drivers when they pass through the tunnel entrance and exit,which can be divided into three types: high risk type,low risk type and general type.The safety of high risk motor vehicle drivers is the worst,and the numerical fluctuation of each operating index is obvious,while that of low risk motor vehicle drivers is the best,and the numerical fluctuation of each operation index is stable.The average type of motor vehicle driver operates somewhere between the others.The driver operation data collected by OBD technology is more objective and abundant than that collected by traditional experimental sensors,and the analysis results are more representative.The method of using OBD technology to collect driving operation data is more convenient and intelligent.By analyzing the safety characteristics of different types of drivers at the entrance and exit of the tunnel,we can also provide some help and suggestions for the improvement of driving habits of high-risk drivers.
