Qiang people are described as "the living fossil of the nation".Qiang embroidery is the most important carrier of qiang culture and one of the most representative national cultural heritages in China.From ancient to modern times,qiang embroidery has been widely used in the daily life and production work of the qiang people.It is indispensable in many aspects,such as clothing,shoes and hats,living environment,and the arrangement of festival scenes.Undoubtedly,qiang embroidery is not only the symbol of qiang's history and culture,but also the dwelling place of national cultural psychology.After the May 12 earthquake,the entire relocation of the old county town of beichuan,where the qiang people live,caused a cultural fault for many years.The newly-built county town of beichuan is well planned and equipped with modern facilities.The government puts the focus of cultural tourism on "garden-style new town" and post-disaster sites to attract tourists.However,a nation or even a city needs cultural nourishment,and the excellent traditional culture of the qiang people needs to be inherited.Today,qiang culture is barely visible except in the beichuan qiang folk museum in the county seat.In such a "new" environment,it is difficult for people to obtain cultural attachment and return to the hometown of traditional spirit.In order to inherit the intangible cultural heritage of the qiang nationality here,it is an attempt to shape the cultural image of the new beichuan county in a short period of time,accumulate the urban culture and improve the urban context,and reintroduce qiang xiu into people's life is a path worth trying.Based on the analysis and research of traditional qiang embroidery patterns and combining with the contemporary design concept,this paper intends to redesign the patterns of qiang embroidery elements.The by qiang embroidery color extraction,the pattern of "geometry" design,the continuation of the basic patterns,and the restructuring of the new visual symbol,color keep with new material use,realize the qiang embroidery patterns "redesign",to the traditional culture of qiang embroidery art and fashion life,introducing contemporary household by seeking the design of household soft outfit series product representation and implementation of the specific environment space ambience of the qiang embroidery tradition innovation,let the qiang embroidery not only as a tourist GuanShangPin,more to let it become part of People's Daily life,infiltrate into people's life,as the qiang culture,Develop beichuan economy culture to make a new attempt.Practice shows that this design thinking has been recognized by local people and inheritors in beichuan.
