A Comparative Study On Embroidery Patterns Of MaLiu And Qiang

With the promotion of national intangible cultural heritage,Maliu embroidery and Qiang embroidery were listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list in2008.The author found that there are many similarities between Maliu embroidery and Qiang embroidery,but there is no relevant literature to discuss the similarities and differences between the two.By taking the Maliu embroidery and Qiang embroidery as the research objects this paper is aimed to find out the similarities and differences between Maliu and Qiang embroidery patterns in terms of their themes,shapes,colors and techniques,and to find out the reasons for their similarities and differences through the field investigation,interviewing the embroidery inheritors and a large amount of datum collection,and using the method of comparative study,this paper isThis paper.The comparison of the two is helpful to a deeper understanding of the differences in embroidery art,a more profound and specific understanding of the true features of the embroidery of Ma Liu and Qiang,to grasp the characteristics of the two and to enhance the sense of cultural identity.The comparative study of the embroidery with the Qiang embroidery and the Qiang embroidery provides a theoretical basis for the transformation of traditional embroidery into a new type of cultural product,and is of practical significance to the revitalization of the national cultural industry.Firstly,analyzes the development process of Maliu embroidery and Qiang embroidery from the historical perspective.Secondly,by comparing the subject,composition,color and techniques in detail,this thesis finds that in terms of the subject,apart from the animals and plants both in Maliu embroidery and Qiang embroidery,the former also has drama characters,the ordinary objects and words,the latter has worship and geometry;as to the composition,except the similar independent composition,both the two have their own pattern in the compound composition;it is divided into plain embroidery and color embroidery,but there are also differences in the color collocation in the two embroideries;in the process,they all have the same needling method.But the use of acupuncture focuses differently..Finally,thesis comes out thecharacteristics in Maliu and Qiang embroidery patterns.Their similarities come from the similar living environment and the frequent contact,and the differences stem from the different life habits and the deep culture of the nation.
