Study On The Application Of Cannitille Embroidery In Home Textiles

As a traditional Chinese handicraft and through thousands of years’ evolution,cannitille embroidery has a profound historical and cultural heritage,embodies the spirit and culture of the Chinese nation and represents the glory and wisdom of national art.However,the inheritance and development of this traditional handicraft is facing a lot of problems,even on the verge of extinction.On one hand,with the improvement of people’s living standard,the demand for home textiles has gradually changed from practicality to a higher level of connotation,culture and art.But on the other hand,because of the lagging behind of domestic home textile design innovation and development coupled with the lack of brands with local characteristics,the development of home textile industry has encountered bottleneck.By the analysis of the development history,pattern aesthetics and application status of cannitille embroidery,this paper attempts to apply this handicraft in home textile products,so as to find a feasible way for the inheritance and development of cannitille embroidery,while expand the room for home textile design.By means of data collection,field investigation and the combination with graduation design practice,this paper has made a multi-facet study of the application of cannitille embroidery in the design of home textile products.First of all,it expounded the historical development of cannitille embroidery,summed up the aesthetic characteristics of cannitille embroidery patterns from the theme,color,composition,pattern process features,and then analyzed and summarized the application status and innovative design of this handicraft in home textile design;finally,taking the author’s graduation project as an example,which used cannitille embroidery for a series of home textile designs,it proposed the innovative development idea of combining cannitille embroidery with other fine arts and culture,adding fashion elements as the driving force and development of personalized customized products on the basis of traditional culture.It draws the conclusion that to solve the issue of inheritance of cannitille embroidery,we must intensify the development of the art of this handicraft,enrich its presentation techniques and make it the means of brining economic benefit.
