The Eastern Zhou Dynasty was the first period of great change in Chinese history.In addition to changes in political systems,economic forms,and ideology and culture,there have also been innovations in the field of social life.The diet is the primary factor that constitutes people's social life.For the Eastern Zhou diet,people focus on the study of specific names,but do not explore the changes and development of the diet structure in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty from a macro perspective.In order to understand the eating and living conditions during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period better,this article will use historical and archaeological research methods to coordinate the handed down literature and archaeological materials,and conduct an in-depth study of the changes in the diet structure of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,with a view to promoting the study of social life issues in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.This paper is divided into five parts,.The first part explains the preconditions and specific manifestations of the evolution of staple food types.The second part uses poultry and wild animals as the starting point to describe the evolution of meat types.The third part introduces the changes in the types of fruits and vegetables from the two parts of fruits and vegetables.;The fourth part discusses the evolution of the types of drinks based on the wine;The fifth part is a brief analysis of the changes in dietary etiquette caused by the evolution of dietary structure.From the above five aspects,we will sort out the evolution of the dietary structure in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,and enrich people's cognition of the social life of the aristocrats in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.
