Xinjiang,where the uygur people live,is located in the northwest of China,where economic development lags behind.According to the economic situation of this region,the state has put forward development strategies and thoughts such as "western development","One Belt And One Road" and "silk road spirit".Project work purpose is to hope that by uighurs nuts food packaging design combined with spirit of "silk road" this Angle,using the "silk road" spirit to provide platform for the economic,trade and culture,the packaging design combined with national culture connotation,makes the nuts with Uighur culture characteristic food packaging can become a bridge of cultural exchange and trade cooperation.This research firstly investigated and analyzed the packaging of nut products at home and abroad,and found that the packaging design in the existing market has problems such as weak awareness of characteristics,serious homogenization and obsolete design style.In order to solve the above problems and make the packaging have local cultural characteristics and the connotation of "silk road spirit",a survey was conducted on the cultural content in the uygur region.Packaging design cultural elements are extracted from all aspects of life,such as the analysis of food,architecture,dance,people and animals,etc.,to extractdesign elements with distinctive regional characteristics,accurately express the regional cultural connotation in packaging design,and achieve the design purpose.Deal with the relationship between packaging design and cultural features also appear at the same time to avoid the design problem of homogeneity,refined design elements with local cultural features and use appropriate research methods,such as market research,outstanding case analysis,brainstorming method and literature research method,etc.,combining technical route to reach the unity of theory and practice of packaging design,enables the project to basically solve the problem above.The packaging design products of the project are mainly nuts,and the corresponding box type design is carried out for different food types,and posters and other forms are adopted in the publicity means.In the design process,we always adhere to the design principle of cultural characteristics and refine the main graphics and color system with regional characteristics.Packaging design combined with the current popular packaging design aesthetic trend,in line with the general consumer aesthetic direction,with regional cultural characteristics.Xinjiang products will be promoted to a broader trade market through the unified style of serialized nuts and native products packaging with the help of the communication platform provided by "the spirit of the silk road",driving the economic development in the western regionand promoting the friendly exchanges between uygur culture and various ethnic groups.There are still some deficiencies in this research,such as insufficient investigation and study.In the future,nut food packaging in xinjiang uygur culture still needs to be further studied.In the future,the project can still promote the regional economic and cultural development based on the combination of local cultural characteristics and modern development trend and the perspective of packaging design.
