With the development of society,economy and the continuous progress of science and technology,people have higher and higher requirements for environment,health,safety and convenience of MSW collection and transportation services;meanwhile,economic affordability of society has also correspondingly increased.So the pneumatic waste collection system,an automated collection system for solid waste collection and transportation,has been widely used throughout the world.Compared with the traditional collection and transportation mode,the pneumatic waste collection system has the advantages of higher cleanliness and efficiency,less environmental impact,and full automation.As the core hub of the entire pneumatic waste collection system,scientific and rational location of the central collection station can not only reduce the daily energy consumption of the system and the negative impact on the environment,but also improve the collection efficiency as well.Therefore,establishing a scientific and practical decision model and proposing an ideal location scheme,is particularly important.Firstly,based on the analysis of the research status on pneumatic waste collection systems both at home and abroad,a location selection index system was constructed in terms of environment,economy,policy,and infrastructure considering the characteristics of the central collection station.Secondly,the RS-AHP method was used to reduce th,redundant attributes and calculate the comprehensive weight.Finally,comprehensive decision analysis was made for each site,and the optimal site was determined based on the decision results.In this paper,Baguang International Bio Valley in Shenzhen was chosen as a study case.Firstly,10 representative candidate sites were selected,and their original data was collected,analyzed and evaluated.Thus four core attributes were obtained after reduction: impact on the environment and ecological landscape,collection costs and energy consumption,land resources and traffic conditions.After determining the subjective and objective weights,there was one optimal candidate site,five suitable candidate sites and four unsuitable candidate sites.The evaluation result shows that the best site located in middle section of the pipeline of a new industrial area,with the advantage of less environmentally sensitive points around and convenience of traffic.The theoretically selected site was also consistent with the ideal location in actual situation.The location selection index system and model built in this paper are certainly practical and feasible for the pneumatic waste collection system,which can provide reference for decision makers in the future.
