Under the background of economic globalization and social pluralism with the ever-increasing pressures of population,resources and the environment,the contradiction between urban development in the economy society and the environment has become increasingly prominent.As the center of regional economic activity,the city is the production space.The carrier and the settlement of human life,people today will no longer blindly pursue the development of the economy,the expansion of the city and pay more attention to the harmonious,balanced,stable and sustainable urban development model,so the ecological city research came into being.This paper takes Altay City in the northern part of Junggar Basin in Xinjiang as the research object and systematically evaluates the capacity of the ecological city construction in the region.First:the paper first reviewed the theory and methods needed in the construction of an eco-city.Then it introduced the background and significance of the research on the evaluation of the eco-city construction capacity,combined with the actual situation in the region,and put forward the research content and methods of the region.Second: explain the characteristics,connotations,and principles of ecological cities.Third :This paper,based on the actual situation in Altay region,based on the understanding of the connotation and construction standards of eco-city,and drawing on the research results at home and abroad,builds an evaluation index system of eco-city construction capacity in Altay City,which includes three primary subsystems.11 secondary subsystems and 44 indicators.Fourth:Using the method of principal component analysis,through the single-factor analysis of the various subsystems of the eco-city construction in Altay city,the three levels of economic,social,and environmental construction levels were obtained: “ The capacity for ecological and social construction is the worst,and ecological The capacity of economic construction is the second highest,and the capacity of ecological environment construction is the best.” The comprehensive capacity of the entire ecological city is evaluated.It is concluded that although the construction capacity of eco-city in Altay City has improved compared to five years ago,the overall construction capacity is still low.,and the volatility is greater.Then,combining the radar scores of the various subsystems,it is analyzed that the ecological social construction capacity has limited the capacity of the entire ecological city construction and maintained a good level of development overall.Finally,using multiple regression analysis to analyze the contribution of the three subsystems to the capacity of eco-city construction,we concluded that the highest contribution of eco-economy construction capacity accounted for 58.5% of the total contribution;followed by eco-environmental construction capacity accounted for 42.9% of the total contribution.The social ecological construction capacity is the lowest,accounting for only 19.7% of the total contribution.Fifth.Through the empirical analysis of Altay City,we have come up with the countermeasures and paths for improving the capacity of building eco-city in Altay City. |
