In recent years, the ecological environment has been continuously destroyed, and environmental pollution has become increasingly serious. This has led to the emergence of a series of social and economic problems. The frequent occurrence of financial crisis is also detrimental to the growth of the real economy, and it is intended to realize the development of the economy to a higher level. The new technological revolution can only start from the environment.Countries and regions around the world are seeking effective economic development models to drive economic growth.Nowadays, countries and regions are concerned about the sustainable and harmonious development of the economy.Compared with the past when only economic strength was emphasized, and the emphasis was on comparing the overall national strength of different countries, the environment has entered people's field of vision and become a target for countries to compete in a new round. With the concept of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" proposed in 2013,the narrow and long-term location map of Gansu Province has made it an important transportation hub in the coherent western region of China. As an important strategic node during the construction of the plan,Gansu Province has accurately positioned the "silk The functions to be played in the construction of the road economic belt are of great significance to the overall realization of the “Silk Road Economic Belt”.This paper takes 9 important node cities in Gansu section of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” as an example, selects 24 key factors that affect the competitiveness of the urban environment, constructs an evaluation index system and evaluation method for urban environmental competitiveness, and uses statistical analysis software SPSS.Take factor analysis and cluster analysis on the economic competitiveness of the economy, society, culture, and natural ecology respectively, and combine the "Silk Road Economic Belt" with three years ago(2010),the proposed year(2013),and three years later(2016)Environmental competitiveness scores and ranking results, objectively measure, analyze and compare the environmental competitiveness of 9 important node cities, according to the status of the urban environment, the status of cities, and the advantages and disadvantages of cities in each important node city Analyze the current situation of environmental competitiveness, and put forward recommendations for effectively improving environmental competitiveness. This article has carried on the research to this and has drawn the relevant conclusion, may improve the reference for each city effectively, helps them to formulate the related strategy, better promotes the coordinated development of economy, society and environment, has the extremely high theoretical value. From the results of the assessment, this paper has the following conclusions: The results of comparative factor analysis can be found that the comprehensive competitiveness of a city's environment is closely related to the economic competitiveness of the city's economic environment, social culture, and natural environment. It is inextricably linked.Contact, the three together have a great impact on the city's overall environmental competitiveness. The rankings of the comprehensive competitiveness of the urban environment and the competitiveness of the economic environment show strong consistency. The correlation coefficients of the comprehensive competitiveness of the urban environment in the three aspects of sub-competitiveness are all above 0.9,indicating that the urban environment competitiveness and the three aspects of sub-competitiveness It is highly relevant;the changes in scores and rankings conform to the theoretical rules of the environmental Kuznets curve. The rapid economic development will undermine the ecological environment and be detrimental to the environmental quality. At the same time, however,it will also help improve the environment and better solve environmental problems. The level of environmental quality will gradually deteriorate and improve with the development level of the economy from low to high.Through cluster analysis, the typical performance of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” in Gansu Province will be demonstrated in terms of urban environmental competitiveness.Out of the gradient type,Lanzhou City maintains the same level of competitive advantage, and the score is increased from 1.98 to 2.205.The competitive level of Jiuquan City is normal, other cities have relatively weak competitiveness, and the environmental competitiveness is lower than the average of 9 cities. The overall environmental competitiveness score was improved, and the score range was moved upward.Lanzhou City ranked first and remained the same with the second-ranked cities.Jiayuguan City and Jinchang City ranked back,Zhangye City and Wuwei City. The rankings increased significantly, with Jiuquan City,Dingxi City,Tianshui City and Pingliang City ranking less volatile. Finally,it proposes to build an overall environmental competitiveness system in Gansu Province, promote economic growth, social and cultural progress, improve the ecological environment, realize the harmonious and sustainable development of the three, and effectively enhance the competitiveness of the urban environment.
