In recent years, with the rapid economic development and accelerated progress of urbanization, the contradiction between environment and economy is increasingly prominent.Frequent ozone concentration exceeding have caused the deterioration of air quality. As the main precursor of ozone,VOCs have a negligible impact on the generation of ozone and air pollution. For better understanding of the characteristics and trend of VOCs emission,time-space distribution and the relationship with ozone formation potential,we developed VOCs emission inventory for Fujian,in order to provide important basic data for the improvement of regional air quality. In this study,a 2015-based VOCs emission inventory was developed for Fujian based on the method of emission factor, comprehensive utilization of various statistical data, combined with the local investigation in Fujian, select a representative level of activity data and emission factors.Besides, spatial VOCs emission inventory with a resolution by using ArcGIS technology, depending on the emission characteristics of the different sources, the VOCs emissions inventory is allocated on a monthly basis. Finally,VOCs emissions are calculated based on the VOCs source spectrum of different sources and the ozone formation potential of different VOCs species is calculated. Then the key source of ozone and the key VOCs species can be identified.By this way, some scientific support and solutions for the development of follow-up strategies can be provided. The study constructed a set of classification system that covers most of the emission sources of VOCs emissions, and the total VOCs emissions was 1232 kt in Fujian in 2015.It was classified as biomass combustion source, fossil fuel use source, process source, solvent use source, mobile source and natural source. The six categories of VOCs emissions accounted 0.75%.2.19%,11.87%,9.68%,4.82%and 67.63%of total VOCs emissions, respectively.Natural sources, process sources and architectural coatings are the top three sources In terms of temperal and spatical distribution of VOCs emissions inventories,it's showed an obvious spatial distribution characteristics in coastal cities.Natural sources of large areas mainly include Sanming and Longyan which has high forest cover, the areas with high anthropogenic emissions are mainly distributed in the more developed Quanzhou and Fuzhou. The higher discharge period is concentrated in the 6-9 month, mainly due to the natural source affected by high temperature and high light intensity in summer. In addition, the total estimated ozone formation potential(OFP)in Fujian in 2015 is 5491 kt.Among them, natural sources, process sources and architectural coatings are top three contributes to OFP emissions, accounting for 73.21%,11.53%and 5.71%respectively.Natural source OVOCs,monoterpene, isoprene, mixed p-xylene,toluene,unsaturated hydrocarbons,o-xylene,ethylbenzene,propylene and ethylene are the top ten VOCs species.
