On Practicing And Considering The Productive Protection Of Zhennan Yu-Kin

As a time-honored ethnic minority in Southwest China,the Yi nationality has created abundant spiritual and material wealth in the lengthy production process.Yu-kin,which is one of the traditional instruments of the Yi nationality,is an important material carrier for Yi culture.Accordingly,manufacture techniques of Yu-kin have become intangible cultural heritage.The investigation shows:although Yu-kin is ubiquitous in Yunnan,few of them are Zhennan Yu-kin.In November 2005,manufacture techniques of Zhennan Yu-kin were enlisted as the first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage.Since it takes lots of time and energy to learn to make Zhennan Yu-kin and the returns are unexciting,there are only two craftsmen who are able to make Zhennan Yu-kin at present:Guo Qingyun in West Street,Longchuan,Nanhua County and Li Shuming in Dachahe Village,Nanhua County.What's more,both craftsmen are over fifty years old.If little attention is paid to the inheritance and protection of manufacture techniques of Zhennan Yu-kin,such techniques will eventually die out.Therefore,it is important to study and explore the protection and inheritance of Zhennan Yu-kin manufacture techniques in the context of intangible cultural heritage protection,thereby providing references for the protection of intangible cultural heritage in respect to academic studies and practical applications.This paper takes Zhennan Yu-kin and its manufacture techniques as the objects and proceeds from productive protection to observe its cultural habitat,analyze its role changes,explore problems with the productive protection of intangible cultural heritage and propose corresponding solutions.The whole paper consists of six parts.Part 1 is the introduction.It mainly introduces the reason for subject selection,research purpose,research significance,research thoughts,research methods and studies on the present situation from multiple perspectives.Part 2 observes and combs the existence and development environment(natural environment and humanistic environment)of Zhennan Yu-kin.Part 3 is based on material objects to introduce the origin,distribution,texture,structure,patterns,manufacture techniques,execution of Zhennan Yu-kin.Part 4 describes evolutions and dilemmas in preserving techniques of making Zhennan Yu-kin before and after it' s listed as intangible cultural heritage and explores the preservation dilemma for Zhennan Yu-kin from the perspective of selection,enlargement and separation after it' s listed as intangible cultural heritage.ln Part 5,the author proposes to take cultural connotations,cultural consciousness,integrated preservation and technique inheritance as the core and base on the present situation of Zhennan Yu-kin productive protection to build cultural brands and make innovations.Part 6 is the conclusion part.There is still a long way to go to protect intangible cultural heritage.Only constant reflection and summarization will lead to continuous improvement.
