Automatic bar strapping machine is a kind of packaging equipment used for bar material,section bar and pipe production line.Bars are delivered to roller table through rolling production line.Then the former will tightly pack the bars into round bale or square bale.Finally the strapping machine will bundle the bale with hot wire rod or steel tape.According to the length,one production lineshould be equipped with one to four sets of strapping machines.The main reasons for using strapping machine are as follows: firstly,the bundling efficiency is high.With the increasing of rolling working efficiency,manual bundling cannot meet the efficiency in production field,but the interval for auto bundling is only about 7 to 10s(depending on the size of bundle);Secondly,the high temperature injury risk which will be exposed to on-site workers can be reduced.Thirdly,it can facilitate the weighing and storage for the next step.Now most of the domestic steel plants still use importedstrapping equipment.Thecost of such equipment is high and malfunction still exists,such as 650 type.In recent years,the structures of the domestically produced strapping machines and the imported ones are similar,which still cannot solve the current problems.So it is really necessary to design a new type of 650 strapping machine with less failure.This paper will focus on analyzing the use of 650 strapping machine,the following research ofdesign and analysis of KYS-650/6.5-SX-1 strapping machine will be carried out:1.By analyzing the existing problemsof 650 typeat home,this paper startswith the device design,then gradually complete the project design of wire feeder,guide groove system,rack and other components.Finally complete the overall design of strapping machine and establish a three-dimensional model of the components and the whole machine.2.After the design of each part of the strapping machine,the analysis and calculation of the part design is carried out: to prove that the shear force of the binding head is enough or not.The calculation of the pressing force of the feeder can provide the initial data for force analysis.3.Based on theestablished three-dimensional model and the calculation results from the previous chapter,use ANSYS Workbench software to carry out the pressing force of wire feeder;anduse LS-DYNAsoftware to carry ou tdynamic simulation analysis of wire feeding wheel,wire pressing roller and binding line.Then the maximum amount of interference is obtained which can lay a foundation for the further study of the slipping problem of steel wire.4.The design of the strapping machine is summarized and analyzed.It can basically solve the current binding problems of650 strapping machine on the structural design.And the future research work is prospected.
