Trimming,as a problem-analysis and problem-solving approach in TRIZ,by using the system's own resources to solve the problem,not only can improve the component value,simplify the system and reduce costs,but also can effectively optimize system problems and improve the efficiency of innovation.In this paper,the design requirements analysis and the 40 inventive principles were applied in the trimming-problem analysis and trimming-problem solving process,in order to offset the shortcoming of the existing application process of trimming.And the inventive principles selection strategy was established by using the similarity analysis method during the process of trimming-problem solving.On this basis,the model of trimming innovative design oriented to design requirements was proposed.The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:1.By identifying the product stakeholders and analyzing its needs to determine the design requirements of product improvement as the design goal.In order to determine the trimming object,a system functional analysis process oriented to design requirements is proposed.Causal chain analysis method is used to analyze the cause of the problem.And the trimming problem analysis model oriented to design requirements is constructed.2.The inventive principle is used as a kind of heuristic knowledge during the process of trimming-problem solving,by discussing the significance of the trimming method and the shortcomings of the current application process and the feasibility of using the inventive principles to inspire the designers to solving the trimming-problem.3.On the basis of analyzing the inventive principles,functions and parameters and the semantic expression form of the function,the functional semantic expression knowledge base of the inventive principles is constructed.And The list of functional-attributes of the inventive principles and the missing functions is constructed.The method of selecting the inventive principles based on the similarity analysis is established.4.From the design requirements acquisition,the determination of the trimming problem,the choice of the inventive principles based on the similarity analysis and the process of principles inspired the trimming-problem solving,the design process of the trimming oriented to design requirement is proposed in this paper.5.Aiming at the design process of trimming design innovation,the design of high pressure gas garlic peeling machine is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed trimming method.
