With the development of the global economy,the international project contracting market has become bigger and bigger.China's foreign project contracting has also flourished,and the scale of foreign project contracting has risen steadily.The cement industry has also made considerable progress in foreign project contracting.For coping with the increasingly fierce international competition,China's foreign project contractors in cement industry need to adopt a reasonable strategy,to use their own advantages and the opportunities,to avoid disadvantages and threats.In order to finally achieve the purpose of occupying a larger market share in the highly competitive international market.Based on SWOT-AHP analysis method,taking CBMI Construction Co.,Ltd.as an example,this paper analyzes the environment and the strategy of China's foreign project contractors in cement industry.First,the paper analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats of the company through SWOT.In terms of advantages,China's cement industry foreign project constructors have the advantage of labor,they can provide quality services,they have won a good reputation in cooperation with the owners,and they have strong support from the group.At the same time,compared with foreign companies,Chinese constructors still have many disadvantages: technical disadvantages;backward management concepts;lack of comprehensive talents;market concentration and serious vicious competition.These disadvantages limit the development of Chinese constructors.On the one hand,international markets and domestic policies have brought many opportunities for Chinese companies.On the other hand,China's supporting services are backward,the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce,the host country's poor competitive environment,and the international economic and financial markets are turbulent.According to the internal environment and external environment,through the analysis of SWOT matrix,the following strategies are proposed: diversified and localized strategy;alliance strategy;risk management strategy and strategy to improve comprehensive competitiveness.In order to make up for the shortcomings of the SWOT analysis method,this paper presents also the AHP analysis method to quantitatively analyze the fourstrategies.First,the hierarchy model is constructed based on the SWOT matrix.Then,on the basis of this model,a questionnaire is designed to collect the respondents' evaluations of various factors and strategies.According to the survey data,a judgment matrix is constructed.Finally,through calculation,the relative weights of the four strategies and the overall goals are obtained,and the strategies are ranked according to the weights.With the calculation results,our foreign project constructors in cement industry should choose the diversified and localized business strategy,followed by the risk management strategy,the alliance strategy and the strategy of improving the comprehensive competitiveness.China's foreign project constructors in cement industry has a long way to go.In this process,we must choose the right strategy,strive to seize more market share,and achieve higher profits.
