The Application Of Shaanxi Paper-cut Pattern In Clothing

Being an exquisite handicraft art,Chinese folk paper-cut is regarded as one of the carriers of the excellent Chinese culture.Highly praised by the world,it can bring people a sense of vision and artistic enjoyment.The characters of Chinese folk paper-cut are hollow and overlapping.In this thesis,Shaanxi paper-cut art is treated as a research object.On one hand,the background and style characteristic of Shaanxi paper-cut art is analyzed through collecting literature and pictures and on the other,the modeling features,folk culture and implied meaning of Shaanxi paper-cut are stated and studied by means of incomplete induction.Being focused on the innovative design of Shaanxi paper-cut pattern,Shaanxi paper-cut patterns are further applied into clothing designs by the design of practice method,as to not only clearly define the compatibility and relevance of Shaanxi paper-cut art and clothing designs,but to summarize the effects of the paper cutting patterns on the clothing.Embodying the artistic expression of hollow cut and Yin cut paper cutting art is done taking the facial makeup of Shaanxi Qin Qiang as the inspiration,combining the facial makeup in Qin Qiang Opera with paper-cut art,and then identifying the design idea and process of these products.Through the collection of the cultural connotation,artistic style and the arrangement as well as the analysis of the modeling features of Shaanxi parper-cut,the quintessence of this kind of art is pointed out.So as to achieve the aim of this research,the innovative redesign of traditional decorative patterns and the application of the unique craft technique into clothing designs to make it possible to realize the design idea.
