Research On The Social Security System For Migrant Workers In Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group

With enormous value created by migrant workers for the society,the social security problems of migrant workers arouse widespread concern.In the just-ended 19 th Nathional Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi stated in his report on the work of 19 th CPC National Congress,"the goal of China’s social security reform and development is to continuously enhance people’s well-being and to completely build a sustainable multi-level social security system with universal coverage,urban-rural incorporation,well-defined right and responsibility and moderate security.” It provides an institutional basis for the social security of migrant workers,and at the same time,the establishment and improvement of migrant workers’ social security become a strong guarantee to achieve the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way.But it requires further discussion and study on the actual degree of migrant workers’ involvement in the social security and the strategies to improve such a social security.This paper consists of several chapters,each chapter including the contents as follows.Chapter 1 introduces the background and significance of the subject,the research content,research methods,and the research status at home and abroad.Chapter 2 introduces the concept and theoretical basis related to social security of migrant workers,mainly including the concept of migrant workers,the connotation of social security of migrant workers and the theoretical basis of social security for migrant workers.Chapter 3 analyzes,through questionnaire,the current status of implementation of migrant workers’ social security in Shanxi Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group Co.,Ltd.Chapter 4 analyzes the problems in implementation of migrant workers’ social security in Shanxi Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group Co.,Ltd.and their reasons.Specifically,the problems mainly include the low participation rate,inadequate social welfare and lack of social assistance.Chapter 5 analyzes reasons for the above mentioned problems.The reasons mainly include the imperfect social security system,insufficient attention of the stakeholders,unsound laws and regulations,and subjective factors of migrant workers.Chapter 6 gives suggestions to improve the implementation of migrant workers’ social security.Chapter seven gives the conclusion and prospect.
